I realize that time has flown by since my last posting. I suppose I could rely on the old excuse of “I have been busy”, which would be true, but would also be just an excuse.
A week or so ago I visited my family in Wyoming to celebrate my dad’s 88th birthday. Go Dad!! Every time I think I am getting older I think how old my dad is and that changes things. My sisters are older too, except Merit who will forever be the baby of the family.
Wyoming was very nice. Not too cold, if the low 20’s can be considered. We all met at Carla’s home in Sheridan, ate good food, told crazy stories – which will never be shared, and basically had fun. While there I was told that my last posting was not very funny and that I write too much about running. Hummmm, what to do with that information?
I suppose the lack of humor is due to the very dreary days of our wet, windy and cold winter. Just last Sunday while running some of our local trails (oops, I just wrote about running, bad Clark) the sun came out for a few minutes and I really did enjoy the warmth on my face, which shows how tough this sunless winter has been. Not only has the winter been crappy, but the wind and the rain has really tested my motivation to run consecutive days, which I am happy to report is now at 254. I have persevered.
Now that February is approaching its half way point, the semi-warm days of spring should be upon us soon. I sure hope so!!
